Nacho Stuff, LLC (“Nacho Stuff,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Nacho Stuff platform at nacho-stuff.com (the “Platform”), a peer-to-peer marketplace for renting tools, equipment, and gear. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our Platform.
By using Nacho Stuff, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account information: Email address, password, username, and account type (renter, owner, or both) when you sign up.
- Listing information: Title, description, photos, pricing, location (city), and other details you provide when creating a listing.
- Booking information: Rental dates, payment amounts, and transaction records associated with bookings you make or receive.
- Messages: Content of messages you send to other users through the Platform.
- Payment information: Payment card details and bank account information collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card or bank account numbers — Stripe handles this securely.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and actions taken on the Platform, collected via Google Analytics.
- Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs.
- Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies to maintain your login session and to collect analytics data. See Section 6 for details.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To facilitate rental transactions between owners and renters
- To process payments and payouts via Stripe
- To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, payout notifications)
- To monitor for fraud, abuse, and policy violations
- To enforce our Terms of Service, including our anti-circumvention policy
- To analyze usage patterns and improve the Platform
- To respond to your support requests
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these circumstances:
- With other users: Your username and listing details are visible to other users. Your full address is only shared with the renter after a confirmed booking.
- With Stripe: Payment information is shared with Stripe to process transactions. Stripe’s privacy policy governs their handling of your data.
- With Supabase: Our database and authentication provider stores your account and transaction data securely.
- With Resend: Your email address is shared with Resend solely to deliver transactional emails.
- With Google Analytics: Anonymized usage data is shared with Google to help us understand how the Platform is used.
- For legal reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Nacho Stuff, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: If Nacho Stuff is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Booking and transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and legal compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us, subject to our legal retention obligations.
6. Cookies
We use the following types of cookies:
- Authentication cookies: Set by Supabase to keep you logged in. These are necessary for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies: Set by Google Analytics to collect anonymized data about how you use the Platform. You can opt out by using browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Update your account information at any time via Account Settings.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your account and personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Opt out of analytics: Disable Google Analytics tracking via your browser settings.

8. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Supabase, and PCI-compliant payment processing via Stripe. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
11. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
